The first Tuscia chess tournament in Nepi 22 January 2020
The first midweek chess tournament in Tuscia has begun in the premises of the Pro Loco of Nepi. This event was organized in collaboration with clubscacchisti.it, with the Nepesina Pro Loco and with the chess clubs of Viterbo. These are the words of Paglia Fabrizio: “Thursday there will be the third round of this very successful event, which has brought together the strongest Viterbo chess players in Nepi. We took on a great responsibility in organizing this event, given the high costs; However, the players responded great and we reached 24 appearances, definitely a good number for this first edition."

Paglia continued: “The matches of the first three boards on Thursday promise entertainment (Tudor – Giorni, Palamides – Pagano and Giuliani – Monarca). Four out of six players are part of our clubscacchisti.it of which Antonio Cristofori is president. My main support, forbid the others, will go towards my godson Marian Tudor, whom I discovered in middle school in Nepi and who, at just 17 years of age, is now on his way to becoming a Candidate Master. A great personal and professional satisfaction and I can guarantee you that, in the years to come, we will often hear about him in the Viterbo chess scene. Another special mention for Alexander Beliman who, at just 10 years old, is playing on par against the sacred monsters of Viterbo chess. We will also hear a lot about him, a great prodigy talent!”.

For chess enthusiasts, the third round matches will begin on Thursday at 6pm. Entrance is free but, to ensure the players have the right concentration, it is absolutely forbidden to talk, whisper or create noises of any kind.
